4 day Paddleboard Camping trip in the Borken Group
Swell Paddle + Surf Tofino is excited to join Blue Dog Kayaking to offer the first ever BROKEN GROUP SUP TRIP. Join instructors Emre Bosut and Amber Champion for the first ever Paddle Canada Touring 2 Skills course run in the Broken Group Islands. Paddleboard this world class paddling destination, learn coastal navigation, self support SUP camping, and explore the best paddling BC has to offer.
Dates and basic Itinerary
Trip will run Thursday Sept 10 to Sunday Sept 13 (4 days, 3 nights)
Thurs Sept 10 – 8am meet at Secret Beach Campgound. Located in Barkley Sound 45 min from Ucluelet and 1.5 hour from Tofino. Check out the google maps link here.
Sunday Sept 13 – Return to Secret Beach Campground around noon. Course wrapped up by 230pm.
This is not an ideal trip for your first time on a paddleboard. Participants should feel comfortable paddleboarding and able to have control in moderate windy / choppy conditions. Some paddleboard touring experience is ideal. Paddle Canada touring 1 skills OR equivalent experience is good. You don’t need to have camping experience. Parking at Secret Beach Campground – $50/vehicle for the week.
Inflatable Touring SUP – $30
Wetsuit – $20
Camping equipment + drybags (please get in touch as there are places you can rent these in Tofino).
