Upcoming First Aid Courses in Tofino

Occcupational First Aid Level 1 & CPR-C, A WorkSafe BC Certification (1 Day Course) $119+gst
Friday, October 27- 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Workplace Emergency First Aid (also known as Occupational First Aid Level 1 or OFA 1) is a hands-on interactive 1 day course with a focus on teaching workers how to deal with the most common work place emergencies. This program is approved by WorkSafeBC. Workplace Emergency First Aid course (WEFA) includes adult CPR, choking procedures, emergency scene management, dealing with shock, spinal injuries, minor wound management, major bleeding, internal bleeding and use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).

Emergency Childcare First Aid and CPR B
Sunday, November 5, 2017. 8:30am to 4:30pm

Course covers skills needed to recognize, prevent, and respond to circulation emergencies for babies and children (CPR level B). Other topics include airway and breathing emergencies, as well as prevention of disease transmission

Wilderness First Aid & CPR C ( Weekend Course ) $269+gst
Friday night, Saturday & Sunday, November 17, 18, 19

The Wilderness and Remote First Aid course is a three day certified course in Tofino. This course takes place over 3 days; Friday evening (Nov 10) to Sunday (Nov 12). Only the Friday evening portion (CPR portion) of the course takes place inside. The rest of the course is run in the field with a focus on hands on experience. Students will learn and practice; spinal immobilization, building splints, building stretchers, carrying patients in a stretcher over rugged terrain, treating hypothermia, re-aligning fractures and dislocation as well as a variety of other wilderness rescue procedures.

Recert: Advanced Wilderness and Remote First-Aid & CPR-C (Weekend Course Recert) $269+gst
Friday night, Saturday & Sunday, November 17, 18, 19

The Advanced Wilderness and Remote First Aid (AWFA) re-certification course is a three day re-certification course in Tofino. Only the Friday evening portion (CPR portion) of the course takes place inside.
