Join us on Aboriginal Day for a special Canoe or Stand up paddle board from downtown Tofino to Tin-u-is (aka Mackenzie beach).

Tin-u-is meaning “calm harbour” is a traditional village site. This past spring, a newly carved Totem Pole commemorating the survivors of residential school was raised. The trips will meet at Tin-u-is for interpretation by Tsimka Martin about the Totem Pole and to check out the other events happening at Tin-u-is for Aboriginal Day.

The paddle boarding trip will leave an hour earlier than the canoe and will be a one way paddle from downtown to Tin-u-is. This trip will involve use of our special touring stand up paddle boards.

The Canoe trip will be lead by Tsimka, a round trip departing and returning to Jamie’s Whaling Station.

We will also have an evening sunset paddle on our touring stand up paddle boards.

Please call 250-266-3787 or 1-855-883-3787 to reserve.
